It’s not everyday that you get to work with two incredible titans on the same project. The CIA (yes, that CIA) and Arizona State University (ASU) have a long-standing relationship of collaboration. The latest of those efforts was an interactive STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, and math) hackathon for all ages where groups would be engineering Rube Goldberg-style chain reaction machines with provided materials and an interactive storyline featuring a fictional cartoon character named F.R.E.D. (Friendly Robotic Engineering Droid). The goal of each team’s machine? To “Find F.R.E.D.” and simultaneously prove that your team didn’t kidnap F.R.E.D.

Old connections reunited to bring this project to life for the Southern California University of Health Sciences. We were tasked with redesigning a prestigious California medical university’s alumni logo with over 100 years of heritage attached to the brand as a whole. Then, to top it off we were offered the privilege of reinventing how the school’s graduation program for a modern, digital, mobile-first world.

Rennacker Studio's strategic overhaul of Synergy West Recycling and Waste's digital landscape commenced with an accessibility audit and heuristic analysis. Critical deficiencies, such as lacking alt text and suboptimal color contrast, were discovered. Analytics-driven insights shaped a redesigned prototype that demonstrated a 97% task success rate, marking substantial improvement. While challenges hindered formal research; user personas and usability tests played pivotal roles. This study underscores Rennacker Studio's commitment to UX research, iterative design, and verifiable metrics—positioning Synergy West for a successful digital future.

In celebration of STARS' momentous 50th Anniversary Fiesta, we had the honor of undertaking an exceptional event photography project, capturing the essence and significance of this special occasion. STARS is an esteemed Arizona non-profit dedicated to enhancing the lives of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We recognized the importance of documenting every key moment. It was essential to artfully immortalize the joy and camaraderie shared amongst the attendees, providing a visual narrative that reflects the heart and soul of STARS' inclusive community. Thanks to the seamless collaboration facilitated by Lucero Consulting Group, Rennacker Studio ensured that the memories and cherished moments from this remarkable milestone would be cherished and remembered for years to come.

We are thrilled to present the culmination of a remarkable collaboration between Rennacker Studio and Lucid Studio for their portfolio launch. Together, we embarked on an extraordinary product photography project, meticulously capturing the essence of some of Lucid Studio's most exceptional packaging work for their esteemed clients. Working side by side with the brilliant minds of Amy Rhodes and Jennifer Banton, Co-Founders at Lucid Studio, we delved into the heart of creativity and ingenuity. Despite the challenges posed by a small studio space, we rolled up our sleeves and embraced a scrappy approach, resulting in awe-inspiring portfolio-worthy results.

We collaborated with SPH Medical and aimed to significantly impact the healthcare industry with the development of the SPH Medical Air Transfer System. This system, consisting of an inflatable air mattress and a powerful blower unit, was designed to enhance patient care by simplifying patient transfers, repositioning, and turning. With a focus on reducing caregiver injuries while improving patient comfort, Rennacker Studio played a pivotal role in designing many of the critical components of this innovative system.
